How to create subdomain
Many web hosting companies provide free subdomains added to the hosting plan. Subdomains are a part of your primary domain and point to a folder within your 'public_html' directory. Every domain has a "www" subdomain (e.g. "www.yourdomain.com", where the "www" part is the subdomain) A subdomain, also known as a "third-level" domain, can be used to create memorable web addresses for various possible sub-sites of your site. E.g. "mail.yahoo.com", " mail.google.com" are the subdomains for yahoo.com and google.com. The general format is: "subdomain.domain.com". An unlimited number of subdomains can be created for free using your cPanel. Below you can find the exact steps to create subdomain via cPanel: 1. Log in to your cPanel and click on the 'Subdomains' icon under the 'Domains' section. 2. Add the desired subdomain name in the 'Subdomain' field. 3. Select the desired main domain from the pull-down menu. 4. Enter the home directory for the created subdomain into the 'Document Root' field. {{#icon: How_to_create_subdomain.png|Info}}
