<div align=justify>Web development is an important area in Internet industry as it is responsible for attractive and user-friendly sites' look. There are many ways to design a site, from simple sitebuilders for beginners to advanced programming platforms for experienced users. Nowadays more and more people use CMS type of site creation. A CMS (Content Management System) is a web based application that can be used to easily design, organize, and manage your web sites. Some webmasters prefer using HTML, other prefer CMS. In this articles we’ll try to compare the two and define the difference between them. * '''''Simplicity''''' Using HTML pages gives limited functionality to a developer. A CMS generally has a number of templates that can ease the development process. Also you can add, delete, or edit the website content through the convenient user interface. Making a web site in HTML requires creating each page separately, whereas CMS templates changes apply to the whole web site. * '''''Functionality''''' Content management systems are being constantly improved and expanded upon as they are open source software. This results in hundreds of themes, plugins, templates available for popular CMS (e.g. WordPress or Joomla). Some CMS even have SEO plugins that will improve your search engine ranking. Predesigned templates as opposed to creating a page from scratch make the editing easier, and you just need to customize the CSS/Style sheet of the template to change fonts, colors, borders, etc. CMS is preferable in case you would like to maintain your page without having to edit HTML coding. On the other hand, if you want to improve your developing skills and create original web pages from scratch, then you can use HTML. Learning HTML will help to increase the ability to edit or even create new CMS themes. However, using content management system templates only requires the understanding of CSS. </div>
