The World Wide Web, abbreviated as WWW and often referred to as the Web, is a system of interlinked hypertext documents which can be accessed via the Internet. You can view web pages using a web browser.

==Hypertext Markup Language (HTTP)==
Shortening for HyperText Transfer Protocol is the basic protocol used by the World Wide Web. HTTP defines the way the messages are formatted and transmitted, and what actions Web servers and browsers should take in response to various commands. For example, each time you enter a URL in your browser address bar, this actually sends an HTTP command to the Web server directing it to fetch and transmit the requested Web page.
