How to transfer site files
<div align=justify>Let's imagine the situation that you have created a site for our domain but for some reason do not want to continue the service with the company that hosts it. The best decision here is to transfer the website to a different server. You may ask: how exactly can I transfer the site? In this article we'll provide you with the basic ways of site migration. If you want to transfer a website to the new server then you need to do the following: '''1'''. Download all site files from the old server to your PC. This can be done via FTP. '''2'''. Upload them to the new server (using FTP as well). '''''Note:''''' all your site files are to be uploaded to 'public_html' folder as this is the very folder that should contain files for your main domain. If you were using cPanel with your previous host, then you can ask them to provide you with the cPanel backup of your account. This will include emails, databases and files. Once you are provided with the cPanel backup, upload it to your hosting account on the new server for it to be restored. Backup file can be uploaded via FTP too. Once the file transfer is complete, check all your links to make sure everything is OK. Note: file names are case-sensitive, so example.html and Example.html are different files. In case the files are not displaying on the new server (though displaying properly on the previous host), make sure the link to the file and the filename coincide. File transfer process may take some time to complete. This actually depends on the site size itself. As you can see, it is not that difficult to transfer a website from one server to the other.
