Cpanel provides several features that can be used to create a site. But your choice of tools is not limited to cPanel only. You can use any software/site builder tool to design and then publish or upload the site to our server via FTP. (Information on FTP is available at [[What is FTP]). FTP is considered to the best way to upload the files for your site. 

Once it is ready, what are the exact steps to publish the site?
First of all, you need to have some FTP client installed on your local PC. Numerous FTP clients can be found on the net (e.g. Filezilla, Cyberduck, etc.). Filezilla (http://filezilla-project.org/) is very handy so we'll take it as an example.

Once you have Filezilla installed you need to configure it with the following settings:

host: your domain name

username: your username

password: your password

Now you can upload the site to the server. Simply find the site files on your local PC (Filezilla left-side window) and drag them to the server (Filezilla right-side window). 

Note: all files are to be placed within 'public_html' folder.
