PHP 5.2.x is active on all MyIdealHost servers by default. 

In order to activate 5.3.x you need to add the following handler to main .htaccess file (public_html/.htaccess):
 AddHandler php5_3_10-wrap .php

To change version back you just need to delete the mentioned line.
