How to fix 404 Not Found error
<div align=justify>Just imagine the following situation: you have created a site, uploaded the files to the web server and want to check how it looks on-line. Everything looks great, except for one page at which you are getting '404 Not Found' error. What's wrong? Where does this error come from? In this article we'll let you know the possible causes of the fobidden error and how to fix it. Generally, this error looks like this: ''Not Found'' ''The requested URL example/somepage.html was not found on this server.'' The possible causes for 404 error may be as follows: * missing files; * improper file path; * improper file name. In order to fix the error you should do the following: * log into your cPanel and make sure the file in question is present under your hosting account; * check the path to the file. E.g. if you are getting 404 error when going to ''example/somapage.html'' on your site, then make sure that there is a file called '' 'somepage.html' '' within '' 'example' '' folder. * As MyIdealHost's servers are Linux-based, file names are case-sensitive. Check the name of the file in question to see whether it is the same as the one mentioned in the file path. '''Note:''' ''example.html'' and ''Example.html'' are different files.</div>
