Different Types of Cloud Hosting
<div align=justify>So often when people hear the term “cloud computing,” or “cloud hosting,” they either aren’t aware of what the terms mean, or they think it’s just a large infrastructure of virtual clouds on the Internet that are designed to work just like servers – but better. While this latter explanation isn’t wrong, albeit a little simple, if you’re thinking about using cloud computing for your business, you’re also going to know what type of cloud computing you want to use. There are three different kinds: public clouds, private clouds, and hybrid clouds. '''''Public clouds''''' are what most people think of when it comes to cloud computing. These really are the virtual servers that draw resources from another, all to give the customer a better experience and a website that’s more stable. A third-party company, namely a cloud hosting company, has access to those clouds and so provides services to customers and businesses who want to use them. This type of cloud computing is by far the most popular and has been predicted by some that it will take over the world of hosting, replacing VPS and dedicated hosting plans entirely. A '''''private cloud''''' works similarly to a public cloud, but on a much smaller scale. Private clouds are just that – clouds that only certain individuals or certain organizations can get into, much like a private server. When private cloud computing was first introduced, it was promoted as having many of the same benefits of public cloud computing, without all of the drawbacks. The benefits that were boasted as coming with private cloud computing were: better security for data, corporate governance, and better reliability. However, private cloud computing did, and still does have one problem – it simply costs too much to run, own and operate and so counteracts the very benefit that makes cloud hosting so attractive to business owners in the first place. And just as cloud computing as a whole has been predicted to take over traditional forms of servers, it’s also been predicted that as public cloud hosting becomes larger and larger, private cloud hosting will eventually be phased out altogether. The third type of cloud hosting is '''''hybrid cloud hosting''''', a form of cloud hosting that combines public and private by having both a private cloud and an entirely separate public cloud, but having a connection joining the two. It’s been said that if companies do continue with demand for private features of cloud hosting, hybrid hosting will be the option that they most likely choose, as private clouds continue to drop from the market. </div> ''Taken from http://www.web-hosting-review.com''
